Artie says THANK YOU!
A
big THANK
YOU
to our generous members who donated $1150 for Artie’s vet care.
Artie’s
foster mom says his recovery is progressing well and that
somebody is going to end up with a super dog. Evidently, Artie
doesn’t know he’s now a “tripod,” as he leaps right into the car
and bounds up steps without a bit of hesitation.
What
happened to Artie?

Here we go again!
Meet
Sable and her lab puppies born mid April at the
home of foster mom Kim Adkins who found her
wandering the streets of Memphis hungry and scared. (Sadly,
there’s no shortage of pregnant dogs needing rescue in the
south.) This is another great bunch of pups and they’ll
be ready for adoption soon,
as will Momma.

We love these updates
Hi Good Dog, we adopted Sally and Molly from you from you last
October. They are the companions we were hoping for and we can’t
imagine our family without them. They love their twice daily
walks and their swimming pool in the backyard, and soon we’ll
introduce them to hiking in the White Mountains. They are very
sweet and happy dogs and we are so happy to have them! Keep up
the good work!

Volunteers
are busy working on our 2010 GDR calendar scheduled for release
in September. We need May and June Good Dogs for the new
calendar. If you would like to enter your Good Dog for the
calendar, email a photo:

Sadie and her Pups Pups
One dark and freezing February day, we learned of a very
pregnant yellow lab who was dumped at a rural Arkansas kill
shelter. Nearby foster mom Linda Simmonds rushed right over to
save her and within days the lab (now called Sadie) delivered 8
beautiful puppies. For 3 months Sadie and her pups were lovingly
cared for at Linda’s house and now we’re so proud that all the
pups have found forever homes in New England. |

We had no idea...
that
Melvin would turn out to be such a great Frisbee dog when we
adopted him but you can see for yourself he’s a real natural! We
adopted Melvin from you 6 months ago and I just wanted to say
that he is a terrific dog and we could not be happier. He is a
great family dog. I take him to work with me everyday and we
enjoy our daily routine together. Thanks again. Jack Morehouse

“I just
wanted to say a great big THANKS for helping me to get not just
a "Good Dog" but a GREAT DOG! We adopted Tanner, one of Sadie’s
puppies, and we could not be any happier. The whole experience
really was just something to see and left me feeling really good
about rescuing a dog.”

And one more
Hi Mike, I
wanted to update you on our Molly. She is the best dog ever, we
all love her very much! She enjoys running around the woods in
our backyard, playing with the bunny, hiking with us, hanging
with the two cats or just taking a nap on the couch. Thank you
for our Molly.

And now
that all her pups are gone, Sadie is ready to find her forever
family, too.
We are so
grateful to our volunteer Linda Simmonds for all the time,
energy and love she devoted to Sadie and her pups, what a gift
for these dogs and their nine families.
THANK YOU
LINDA!
